That's the same website that real estate professionals use and the information is identical except there's a little less baloney on the consumer version. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME on Realtor.com, Zillow, Homes.com or any of the other ten million real estate websites out there. They have their place. But finding a home that's actually FOR SALE with accurate, updated information and current values is not it. Why wouldn't you use the same information that I use? Realtors have rules. (Lots of rules!) And one of them is that we have to keep these websites accurate and updated. Once in a while things will get off track. But it's still the second best way to search for homes.
Oh, and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't go to some dumb "Foreclosure" site that will make you sign up and PAY A FEE for homes that got sold a year ago. I can send you more accurate information for free.
One more thing: Please don't go to these other websites to search for a home and then call me wondering why I didn't send you some house that's (supposedly) an amazing deal. Trust me: If I didn't send it to you, it's either not for sale, already sold, in a flood zone, falling down, filled with mold, in a sinkhole, too expensive, too small, too big, overpriced, on the railroad tracks, inhabited by wild animals or really, really ugly. If it's a house that matches your search criteria you will know about it. And you will most likely know about it before other buyers and even most Realtors.
